7 Tips For Designing A Landing Page For Google Ads

Articles
tips for google ads

For Google Ads, your landing page is just as important as your ad. After all, it’s the landing page your potential customers will see after clicking on your ad. Consequently, it is essential to design a landing page relevant to your ad and effectively convert visitors into customers. Here are seven tips to help you design a landing page that will help you get the most from Google Ads campaigns:

  1. Plan your design around your goal

Before you start designing your landing page, you must have a clear goal in mind. What your landing page goal is? Do you need to generate leads or sales? Once you know your goal, you can start planning your design.

  1. Keep it simple

Keep your landing page simple. It means having a clear, concise headline, easy-to-navigate design, and relevant and targeted content. More information can overwhelm visitors, so ensure your landing page is focused and to the point. Don’t ask them too many questions here.. You will lose their interest. Just get the basics and contact info to make the next connection.

  1. Use easy-to-read text

To create a landing page for your Google Ads campaign, one of the most important things to consider is the use of easy-to-read text. The reason for this is that users will be landing on your page from a variety of different devices, including mobile devices with small screens. If your text is not easy to read, users may quickly become frustrated and leave your site without taking action.

  1. Make sure your page is mobile-friendly

With more and more people using mobile devices to access the internet, making sure your landing page is mobile-friendly is essential. Design a page that is easy to navigate and view on a smaller screen. Following are the things to make sure your pages are mobile-friendly:

  • Use a responsive design: Your website will automatically adjust to fit any screen size, whether it’s a desktop, tablet, or smartphone.
  • Use large font sizes:Your text must be easy to read on smaller screens.
  • Use short, concise sentences:Mobile users often look for quick information, so make sure your sentences are to the point.
  • Use images and videos:These can help break up text and make your website more visually appealing.
  • Use buttons and links: Make sure your buttons and links are big and easy to click on.
  1. Use images

Images add visual interest to your landing page and help visitors understand your message. The following are the things to keep in mind when choosing images for a Google Ads landing page:

  • The images should be relevant to the product or service advertised.
  • Use high-quality and professional-looking images.
  • The images must optimize for the Google Ads platform. *SEE PHOTO BELOW FOR SIZING*
  • Use the images in a way that enhances the overall message of the landing page.

  1. Use a call to action

Make sure your landing page includes a call to action (CTA) that is clear and easy to find. The CTA should be relevant to the product or service you are promoting, and it should be easy for the visitor to understand what they need to do.

Following are the tips for writing an effective CTA:

  • Use actionable language like learn more or sign up now.
  • You should be clear about what you want visitors to do.
  • Use strong verbs such as “discover,” “explore,” or “uncover.”
  • Keep the CTA to the point and short.
  • Make it relevant to the products or services you offer
  • To attract attention to the CTA, use contrasting colors
  • Place your CTA where it’s easy to see, and click on

  1. Test your design

Before launching a landing page, always test it. Test out different versions of the page to find what works best. Try different headlines, images, videos, and copy to see what performs best. Landing page testing is an ongoing process, so make sure to continue to test and optimize your page on an ongoing basis.

Here are a few tests to run on your landing page before launching your Google Ads campaign:

  • Test the loading speed of the page.
  • Test the page on multiple devices and browsers.
  • Test the form on your page to ensure it works correctly.
  • Test the call-to-action (CTA) on your page.
  • Test your page for any broken links.

Conclusion

These seven tips should help you create an effective landing page for your Google Ads campaign. Remember to focus on simplicity, clarity, and providing the user with the information they need to take the next step. Also, be sure to test your page to make it effective in driving conversions.

Let’s Understand The Top Features For Your eCommerce Website

Articles
ecommerse store top features

By drawing some ideas from leading e-commerce companies, you can easily create an online shopping experience that will impress your customers. With the world going digital, eCommerce Websites are among the top leading websites for purchasing almost anything on the internet. We can now buy anything digitally, whether it’s clothes or home furnishings. Also, as technology advances and new methodologies emerge, ordinary people will be able to order groceries.

As the owner of an e-commerce business, it is critical to attract as many customers as possible by making your website more interactive and user-friendly. It’s very important to design it in such a way that the user will come back and feel convenient about making a purchase.

There are many more factors at work in an eCommerce website’s success besides the quality of its products. The marketing strategy and design of the eCommerce website are two of the most crucial factors.

  • User-friendly design: It is critical that the website you are creating is simple to understand and use for all users. You must ensure that the website is designed in multiple local languages and is also mobile-friendly. To enhance your conversion rate and maintain pleased consumers, make sure your website design is automatically adjusted for the size and shape of phones, computers, and tablets.

  • Reviews and Comparison: It’s very critical to get reviews of the customers who have purchased your product. When buying online, your reviews are one of your most important ways to show your credibility. It is easier to choose from many other online options when you haven’t developed a trustworthy online footprint. Be sure to provide a comparative but somehow better option for the consumer to use your company for their purchase. The customer should evaluate every aspect of the goods, including their color, size, design, and other aspects in their reviews. (Adding some sort of incentive for an honest review typically does the trick!) Since influencer marketing is becoming so popular, it would be great to have a known influencer do a product comparison of your product v.s theirs!

  • Product Description: While describing your product, you must elaborate on it and give an exact description on your website. Additionally, this allows a possible new consumer to learn more about your website and product rapidly. Along with the description, provide customers with an FAQ and ensure you have a dedicated team to respond to them as soon as possible with genuine responses. * Remember, COPY is everything when your business lives online…

  • Wishlist: A buyer could occasionally show interest in a product, but decide to purchase it later. Alternatively, a consumer can find a product intriguing and want to check it out later for more information. They can save a list of these products on their wishlist, making it simple for them to locate them the next time they visit your website. Including a wishlist is very helpful. This also gives you e-mail contact information. This will give you the opportunity to send them offers, discounts, promotions for buying incentives.

  • Social Media Handles: In a world full of social media, make sure to have a separate and active social media handle for your eCommerce website. This is where the younger generation is more active and is the best place to get an update on any upcoming offers and deals on your website. Also, this can be a great way to spread it to more users. Customers can stay in touch with your brand by following the links to your social media pages at the bottom of the page. Offering incentive to use your social handle and post photos of your products also assists you in building up your online reputation.

These are some of the “MUST HAVE” features you should have for your eCommerce Website. Grabbing the attention of new customers must be your #1 goal.

In an e-commerce backend platform, elements of SEO such as URL modification, title tag management, meta description management, etc. are also crucial in order to gain traffic.

If you find these elements to be too technical, contact a web design company for assistance. Discuss your needs with them and explain your requirements. Have patience and take things slowly.

5 Reasons To Consider Google Ads For Your Business

5 Reasons To Consider Google Ads For Your Business

Sometimes cost-free marketing efforts may not bring the exact results you expected. Therefore, you need to spend, or fair to say ‘invest’, a few more dollars on your marketing efforts. Over the years, Google Ads become top preference for giants as well as SMEs due to its added flexibility and accuracy. With the expansion of Google, it now becomes easier for businesses to reach their potential customers globally. For sure, it is the reason why business holders are more confident in their spending.

Below are 5 reasons why you should consider Google Ads for your business.

What is Google Ads?

Google Ads, formerly called Google AdWords, is basically a digital advertisement program owned or developed by Google. It is the most popular pay-per-click advertising (PPC) platform in the world. This Ad system is widely used for service offerings, product listings, and visual content.

How do Google Ads work?

You choose specific keywords relating to your product or services that prospective customers often use in search engines, and you bid on them based on per click.

When a customer searches for any of those keywords, your ads will appear above the SERP in positions 1-4 (it includes the ‘ad’ symbol on the left of the ad text). Thus, you have increased chances to attract new customers for sales.

Other than the SERP, these ads may also appear on other Google networks such as Google Play, Google Maps, Google images, and even on the Google shopping tab itself. When a user clicks on the ads, you pay for the amount you bid on the keyword (it varies depending on the niche or competition). The beauty about these Ads is— you pay only when a user clicks on the ads.

1) Global Reach

Imagine a day without Google? Not at all. Google is a boon when it comes to solving any questions or queries in your day-to-day life. You ‘type’ your queries and results appear in 0.01 seconds. This shows how effective Google Ads can be for increasing reach of your business in the advertising world. As a report says, Google receives over 5 billion searches per day on a global basis. It shows how advertising on Google Ads can be a reward for your business as you can answer those queries. Those users eventually landed up on your website for more answers and now your magic happens to make the conversion.

2) Fast Results

Unlike SEO, Google Ads is fully swift to drive results. Although search engine optimization (SEO) is an effective marketing strategy, it takes a long time to achieve maximum results as the process involves building websites’ authority and backlinks— too complex. Whereas setting up ads through Google Ads is easier as the process turns out within a few days— just keyword research, copywriting for the ads, and done.

3) Stand apart from competitors

As told before, Google Ads is way more effective than SEO for its efficiency in speed and accuracy. It shows that setting up Ads sets you apart from your competitors as your business appears on the first page even if you have a lack of maximum digital presence. It allows you to expand quicker and stand ahead of the competitive edge. If your competitors are using Google Ads, it is your only reason to consider Ads as well— to stay ahead of the race.

4) Full control over your campaign

The popularity of Ads lies in its user-friendliness and flexibility. You have full control over your campaigns from budgeting to attaining the target. Google Ads can be adjusted as per your budget. Through Google Ads, you can adjust your highest-per-click so that you don’t have to compete against giants. Usually, SMEs get the most out of it. They just use them at their convenience.

5) Truly comprehensive and easier to track.

Tracking is crucial for any business to measure what’s working and what’s not. Google Ads has made it easier— you can track everything including clicks, impressions, conversions, phone calls, and so on. The best advice for tracking all of them is to go with Google Analytics so that you are always in your customer’s shoes. Eventually, your current campaign hits 100% score from a score of 80%.

Bottom line

Google Ads is a tried-and-tested marketing strategy and often carries expected results if implemented well. The most advisable way to get the best results is by applying SEO and Google Ads together in its place. Whereas to stay apart from your competitors, Google Ads is another effective method to make your impression among potential customers. Learning to set up Google Ads is pretty easy. You can learn it from the tutorials offered by it. For maximum results, you can also hire Google Ads experts to make your dollars’ worth it.

How to Optimize Your Google My Business Profile Effectively.

Articles
how-to-optimize-google-my-business

Google My Business is a very useful tool for all business owners. It allows local business holders to shift their business to the digital horizon to meet local consumers.

Unfortunately, many business owners keep underestimating this resourceful feature or have failed to attract adequate local consumers.

This guide will help you, even if you are new, to optimize your Google My Business for increased customer engagements.

  • Fill out your product or services section.

The best optimization of a local business is seen when Google shows your products in the product section in a carousel format. This process is necessary just for increasing visibility, sales, or conversions. Arrange your products or services with keen details, especially for feature products. You can add GIFs for better engagement

  • Consistent posting.

Posting through your Google My Business profile is kind of a mini-blog that shows the latest information or update about your business. Posting regularly mainly helps you in ranking and engagement. Not only that, it shows your business as an authorized entity and set aside from the competitors. When you convey your product or services with the targeted keywords, you are more likely to get ranked on those specific keywords. With consistent posting, you increase the rate of engagement and Google takes your business more seriously than before.

  • Optimize Q&A of your profile.

Recently, Google has launched its Q&A feature for GMB profiles. Use it to retain customers more than before. Q&A acts as customer support if you put the right questions and answers according to customers’ data. By using it, you can build an image for your brand. Ensure you have consistent & accurate information. The basic step is to put your name, phone, and address correctly. It is not as simple as it sounds because these elements change consistently— mostly phone numbers. Make sure the above elements stay ever consistent and accurate and accurate.

  • Add category/subcategory carefully.

Choose categories and subcategories carefully for better user experience and ranking. However, this process is critical for outranking the competition. Maximum local businesses keep categories and subcategories the same, which is rather commendable. As an example, if you have a supermarket that offers a pharmacy— the category should be ‘supermarket’ and ‘pharmacy’ as your subcategory.

5 Tried-And-Tested Ways to Get More Customers by Using Google My Business

1. Add exact location

Before setting up your Google My Business profile, make sure your profile is already generated through third-party associates such as online customer reviews. Follow each and every process requested by Google for a strong GMB profile. Moreover, don’t forget to add an exact location to help potential customers to find your physical location easily.

2. Super-engaging descriptions.

Don’t forget to add engaging descriptions which must incorporate targeted keywords for potential customers (e.g pet store, grocery shop, etc) to rank higher on Google. Yet, take the extra mile to add eye-catching images such as your products, your staff, and so forth. Add required information such as a physical address, phone number, and hours of operation to allow potential customers to make purchases.

3. Requesting customers feedback

Genuine customer reviews are your real asset for attracting new customers. Encourage your happy customers to offer their valuable feedback. In exchange, you can provide incentives such as discounts or extra-added services.

4. Use Google Analytics

Use Google analytics in your favor. Google analytics endlessly shows data (e.g locations of current customers, the performance of each post, time of purchase, etc) to aid you in sharpening your current marketing strategies.

5. Consistent monitoring and updating.

It is advised to review your listing regularly as anyone can make changes to your profile. Sometimes customers may throw negative feedback, so keep an eye on it to prevent following rumors or fake information.

Final words Google My Business is an integral part of local SEO and you should get it right always. 5 Key Reasons Why Google Doesn’t Index Your Website

When it comes to visibility, nothing can be more rewarding than getting organic traffic from search engines, especially Google. Quite often, business owners notice that their web pages or blogs haven’t ranked on the specific keywords, guess why? It vastly happens due to zero indexing, which you can fix too after knowing it shortly. Let’s find out the reasons why Google doesn’t index your website.

Zero Mobile-Friendliness

With the increased rate of mobile users, recently, Google has launched its mobile-first indexing, which directly emphasizes better ‘user-friendly’ of mobile users. Sometimes the highly relevant content may not get enough traffic or ranking if they are not optimized for tablet or smartphone users. Fixing it is not rocket science if you provide the elements that it requires such as adding responsive design, proper navigation, and so forth. However, you can go through different mobile-friendly testing tools.

Lack Of Content

This is one of the most common factors that aid in ranking. Rightly, content is king and Google favors sites that have enough relevant, curated content. It goes without saying that written contents perform well in Google, whereas word count is barely measured as a ranking factor. But it is suggested that 400 or 500+ words perform better in Google than >400 words contents. Make sure the content is plagiarism-free, informative, fresh, and relevant to the targeted readers. (Google will bust you if you plagiarize.) If these basic components don’t compliment your content, Google would most likely favor another site that unites all the components.

Low Loading Speed

Site’s loading speed is another critical factor for better indexing. Google most likely indexes sites that load too fast. Slow loading speed occurs for a variety of reasons. But the most common reasons will be the same— too much content on the page and an outdated server with limited features. To increase loading speed, you can get help from page speed insights. By using them, you can spot the areas of improvement which may include minimizing connections, boosting browser caching and lowering payload size, etc.

Less Engaging To The Viewers

Google thrives to give the best experience to its users. Therefore, it is your responsibility to engage the viewers with the best possible SEO efforts. It is quite evident that Google prefers sites that engage the visitors at their best. Content plays a critical role here. If your content is too engaging supplemented with proper content research and keyword research, you have an increased possibility of indexing quite easily. The process is not as simple as it seems, tons of efforts are involved with it such as identifying the content gaps, specific keyword targeting, and adapting a proper content plan, etc.

Poor Sitemap & Meta Tags

Sitemap is a collection of pages that are contained in your website and can be accessible by search engines and users. Google or any other search engines may not identify your pages if you lack a well-defined sitemap. Through a sitemap, you made crawling and indexing easier for Google. Meta tags signal the search engines about the specific content or your site. With too many pages where Meta tags are not well optimized, you may encounter complications in indexing.

Bottom Line

Facing hurdles in indexing is quite a common issue and constantly frustrating as it can’t be resolved easily. It is recommended to go through a detailed recheck of the essential elements explained above to help in crawling and indexing. Need to say, SEO efforts may not perform well while indexing issues are found on your site.

SEO VS PPC: What Should You Use In 2022?

Articles
SEO VS PPC

When you’re thinking of making your move towards the digital landscape to market your product or services, you’re most likely stuck between choosing SEO and PPC.

SEO VS PPC: Pros and Cons

SEO and PPC are two of the most common elements of digital marketing.

PPC allows us to show or display our ads above the organic search or in the sponsored results section and we get changed for each click.

On the other hand, SEO is a process of getting traffic from the free resources on various search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.

Let’s discuss some pros and cons of SEO and PPC

Pros of SEO

● Free of cost if using a specialist is not within your budget. SEO is free if you possess the required knowledge and are ready to prepare content all by yourself. No doubt, you will spend a lot of time. Involves continuous learning Learning SEO is overwhelming and takes time. If you thrive on immediate results, you must be a quick learner. With tons of plugins available out there, the process of search engine optimization is getting much more effortless. Maximum result SEO allows you to maximize ROI for local businesses as the competition is too low. You tend to increase the click-through rate by 15% considering the specific keywords you are targeted for. In contrast, paid search PPC can increase around 2-3% ROI.

● Long term result Organic SEO is effective for long-term results especially if you update or improve the content on time. You are most likely able to double backlinks and increase your possibility of ranking higher on search engines.

● Boost brand awareness Users tend to be informed about the specific product or services they are going to buy. With informational content that corresponds to your products’ details, you are expected to increase brand awareness among the users. Improved control over the content Unlike paid PPC, organic SEO has more control over the contents. With organic SEO, you have the freedom to publish everything which hardly takes place with PPC.

Cons of SEO

● Longer to work. Organic SEO usually takes 6-12 months to produce solid results. It means the sooner you learn the skill, the faster you expect solid results. Organic SEO is tricky.. Learning organic SEO is burdensome as search engines are evolving with complex algorithms day after day. The job is utterly challenging as you have to learn multiple skills ranging from keyword research to technical SEO.

● Hard to manage. Organic SEO is hard to manage if you are a one-man army. As said before, the job involves a maximum number of tasks, varying from updating content to managing the technical side. As a one-man army, you’ll more likely surrender yourself to the struggles— unless you go for paid SEO to compete with industry giants.

● Lower guarantee. Each search engine’s algorithm is consistently developing and elusive day by day. The one search engine strategy that carried maximum results once may not produce the same by now. Hard to A/B test Organic SEO is simply based on A/B tests and has minimum control over your content. Sometimes you might think to tweak your older posts for better ranking, but you may witness a decrease in ranking.

Pros of PPC

It is not exaggerated to say that PPC campaigns are greatly effective for visual product ads. This helps to cater to users’ attention and improve the click-through rate.

● Quick result. With an effective PPC campaign, you can anticipate short-term results, though it depends on various factors such as the effectiveness of the landing page, quality of copy, and user experience.

● Easier to master. Unlike organic SEO, PPC requires less time to master. But you have to spend a lot of money. Though there are certain limitations for paid campaigns, you are allowed to devise some tried-and-tested tweaks.

●Easier scaling. Through PPC campaigns, you can scale up your business in a short span— just pay according to your budget. The easier ways to cater to maximum ROI are— targeting more keywords and effectively adjusting your daily budget. Increased assurance You can set up your paid campaign without worrying about the uncertainties of search engines. Just set up an ad and keep patience to get approved. If it is rejected, you can set it up again with the suggested changes.

● More buyer oriented. When your campaigns are solely optimized for targeted keywords, you are confident that those clicks are coming from the prospective buyers. Yet, it can contribute to the conversion. Easy for A/B test A/B testing is quite effortless with PPC advertising. Just set up two ads and wait for the one that can increase CTR. Just repeat the process.

Cons of PPC

● Require continuous investment: PPC campaigns can’t get clicks or conversions when you stop putting money on running ads.

● People have thinner trust in PPC campaigns: Often users don’t click on ads simply because they don’t trust them.

● Less ROI if you’re not an expert: Without an effective PPC campaign, you tend to make less money than you spend.

Which is better for you?

SEO or PPC Both have their rewards as well as downfalls. It vastly depends on specific business goals, planning, and other marketing strategies. It is fair to say, PPC is a good choice if someone’s driving to get more instant clicks, conversions, and targeted marketing.

Whereas organic SEO is good for those who want to build brand credibility, exposure, and significant scalability within a budget. However, the best results occurred by incorporating the two for the same goal:

● SEO ensures long-term marketing goals.
● PPC ensures short-term marketing goals.

Bottom line Organic SEO and PPC are both KEY ingredients of search engine marketing. In both ways, you can market your product or services whereas one is free and the other one is paid. However, both can be cost-effective if executed well.

To achieve the same goal, it is recommended to allow SEO and PPC expert teams manage your marketing.

Everything You Need to Know about How Search Engines work…

Nothing’s more overwhelming than managing SEO these days when it is getting more and more elusive. When your career is vastly dependent on the digital space, you ought to understand search engines’ basics— how they work, what they are, etc.

Having a detailed understanding of how search engines work allows you to adjust your blog or website according to its obligations. Not only that, but you may also have several added privileges.

This guide will answer every basic thing you should know about search engines. Do you know that Google alone handles more than 2 trillion searches per year?

What Is a Search Engine? Search engines are software programs that allow people to find the information they are looking for just at their fingertips. Search engines are prompt in showing results by indexing pages or scanning millions of publicly available websites online. The whole process is managed by complex algorithms which ensures a list of relevant websites at the top. When a user searches for a specific term, search engines show results according to the specific keywords, page title, and content.

The Development Of Search Engine Archie Query Form Introduced in 1990, Archie Query Form was the first search engine. It was a simple tool that was only limited to FTO sites and had no other special features. (FTO – Freedom To Operate – This only focuses on patented material.)

BackRub Introduced in 1996, BackRub was the predecessor of Google. It was based on basic principles of backlinks and the PageRank algorithm which has been used till date.

Google Founded in 1998, Google is the popular and dominant search engine in the world to date. The immense popularity of Google lies in its fast-loading relevant results, consistent boost, and a few more free services.

With the overpowering digital transformation, people these days vastly rely on online sources to solve any of their queries. What to buy, ways to expand our knowledge, ideas on things to do for fun.. Search engines could accompany us anytime – of course with an active internet connection.

Search engines can promote your brands through their website with adequate search engine optimization strategies (SEO).

Each search engine operates differently, but the basics keep the same. As said before, search engines are complex computer programs. The whole process is mainly based on three stages— discovering the information, organizing them, and thirdly, ranking. Technically these three stages are termed: crawling, indexing, and ranking.

Step 1: Crawling – Each search engine contains plenty of computer programs called web crawlers (aka. spiders). Their job is to find information that is publicly available on the internet. Let’s make it easier for you. Crawlers scan the internet and find web servers and hosting websites. For better crawling, they create a list of web servers and the number of websites hosted by each server. Then they visit different websites using different techniques and discover the number of pages available on the websites— whether they contain texts, images, videos, or any other format (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc). Besides taking note of the pages, they follow links (external links) of the websites to discover more pages. They continuously follow this cycle to keep track of the changes made to the websites (such as new pages, links, etc).

What can you do for better crawling?

Step 1: ● Add more pages to increase visibility in the SERP. ● Practice search engine optimization (SEO).

Step 2: Indexing. When indexing, search engines don’t store all the information discovered on the pages. As per their algorithms, search engines keep things like the date and time of the pages, title, and description, specific content associated with the keywords, incoming/outgoing links, etc.

Step 3: Ranking. The third and final stage decides which pages to show in the SERP as per a specific query. The process involves complex algorithms. Algorithms are an amalgamation of rules and analysis that ensures user experience by providing relevant web pages.

How Do Search Engine Algorithms Work? How search engine algorithms work is tricky. Day by day, algorithms are getting more complicated. Unlike in the earlier internet world, when queries were answered based on matching titles of the pages. This process has now become very complex. It is inferred that Google considers 255+ factors before making it rank on the first page. These factors are yet to be cracked out, but assumptions are made continuously.

Let’s have a basic idea of how search engines’ algorithms work.

Step 1: Analyze user query. The first step involves understanding the query made by the user— what information he/she is looking for? To understand it better, they break it down into relevant keywords. Not only that, but search engines also detect spelling errors and suggest exact queries of the grammatically correct keywords. This whole process has been made easier by the latest evolution in machine learning. Suppose if you search ‘how to make homemade chocolate’, search engines first decode the words ‘how to’. They certainly know that you are looking for instructions on how to make homemade chocolates. Within a few seconds, you’ll see a list of cooking websites that specifically answer your query.

Step 2: Finding matching pages – The next step involves indexing correct pages that answer the specific query. The process is necessary for both search engines and website owners. Whereas the search engine aims to provide results as fast as possible to keep their user happy and boost website owners. This is the process when an SEO expert can influence the decision made by the algorithm.

There are a few factors you can ensure to favor algorithms: Title and content relevancy: Does the title and content of the page conforms to the user query? Type of content: Shows specific results that the user is searching for. Quality of the content: Content should be plagiarism-free, useful and informative, unbiased, and factually correct. Quality of the blog: The blog should meet the standard of search engines. Date of publication: It is fundamental for news-related queries whereas search engines often favor the latest data. Popularity: Search engines favor pages that have a large number of references (backlinks) rather than pages with no links. An example of a backlink would be creating accounts and posts across the internet with your business name & URL. Another would be getting hosted as a guest speaker on an influencers page. The higher quality backlink you have, and more you show up across the web the more you become trusted. Page speed: Search engines prefer pages that load very fast. Device type: Search engines like pages that are mobile-friendly as most of the users browse through mobile devices and every search engine would never want to spoil user experience. Location and language: For a better location-based user experience, search engines favor pages that match the user’s specific location and language.

Why Should You Care How Search Engine Algorithms Work? The reason is simple— you’ll get huge traffic to your website and make conversions when it ranks #1.

It is proven that the majority of the users, including mobile and desktop, click one of the top five results of the search engines. Getting ranked on the top is ever rewarding rather than being left behind on the second page.

Understanding how search engine algorithms work allows you to adjust your website and increase your rankings and traffic.

What Are The Most Popular Search Engines? There are hundreds of search engines available in the world but a few of them have ruled the search engine market. Some of the top 5 search engines are:

1. Google

2. Microsoft Bing

3. Yahoo!

4. Yandex

5. Baidu

Google alone covers over 90% share worldwide. Google is owned by its parent company Alphabet and powers other search engines like ask.com. Managed by sophisticated algorithms, Google provides effective crawling and accurate search results.

Microsoft Bing With 2-3% of the market share, Bing is the second most popular search engine in the world. It is a great option for those who drive for a new experience. Bing resembles almost similar features to Google. Bing is also efficient in crawling and indexing. Exception is— Bing uses a special algorithm called Space partition Tree and Graph.

Yahoo! With a 2% market share, Yahoo is the third most popular search engine in the world. Once Yahoo ruled the world, which over the last few years have been overshadowed by Google.

Yandex Yandex (yet another index) is highly popular in eastern countries and holds 1% market share worldwide. Yandex is widely used in Russia and Turkey with over 60% of all searches in the countries.

Baidu Baidu is widely popular in China with 1% market share worldwide. Domestically, it holds over 80% market share in China. Baidu’s features are almost same as Google’s and endlessly deliver relevant results.

Lastly, search engines are way more complex than they appear in their interfaces. As they are run by computer programs, they require a large amount of data to operate automatically.

Human intervention is required only when it comes to designing but it has now become easier with artificial intelligence. As a webmaster, your job is to make their crawling and indexing process easier through creating websites.
